Beach season is coming up pretty quick and so are smart asses that try to swim without getting off their SUVs.

A guy from San Clemente, California, drove his Cadillac Escalade out to the oceans edge to watch the sunset and apparently ventured too far. It didn't take long for the SUV to sunk into the water saturated sand so that waves reached up to the rear view mirrors. Even so, the guy's shoes were probably too expensive to get wet, so he obviously refused to abandon his Surf Utility Vehicle.

The guy was cited by the authorities for driving on the beach, which is not permitted in San Clemente unless it's a police or lifeguards car.

Fresh water flood damage alone is a nightmare, so just imagine what happened to this guy because the insurance company may just refuse to cover the damages.
