With all the rumors on the market about Saleen working on a new supercar project that will be unveiled soon, here comes the official announcement. Yes, the new Saleen S55 Raptor Concept has been unveiled at the New York Auto Show in Manhattan. It comes with a 5.0L supercharged engine that outputs 650-hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, will cost $185,000 and will roll out from 2010.
If that's not enough specs, here's some more: rear-wheels drive with a six speed manual transmission, capable of running on ethanol (E85), goes to 60mph in 3.2 seconds and tops at more than 200mph. The new S55 Raptor is built with the help of the design group ASC and has a rigid aluminum chassis.
