The auto industry had plenty of innovation in 2007. But if there was one overriding theme, the year will be remembered as The Year of the Recall. And what better way to end the year than with the announcement of one more recall. General Motors is recalling passenger cars and crossover sport utility vehicles to repair a fluid leak that could cause a driver to losing control of the vehicle they're driving. The recall involves 275,936 vehicles, including the 2005-2007 Cadillac CTS and STS sedans, 2005-2007 Cadillac SRX crossovers and 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky convertibles. General Motors reports that the seal on the rear axle pinion is not satisfactory. The recall is expected to begin in February. For additional information, visit: www.safecar.gov
