After about 20 years of ownership, my mother recently traded in one Honda Accord for another.
The new edition is a superior car. And since my mother purchased her first Accord, the brand has undergone numerous interior and exterior changes while maintaining its status as among the most popular cars on the road.
But one thing proved perplexing. My mother's old Honda had automatic seatbelts; Her new Honda has manual seatbelts that didn't fit properly.![]()
It's taken some adjustment, literally and figuratively, but my mother's new car seems to be working out — thanks in part to an inexpensive but important accessory.
The new Master Design Seatbelt Adjuster, a non-intrusive, plastic clip, has allowed my mother to properly wear her manual seatbelt in a better position and without ubbing against her neck.
This clip takes a few seconds to snap permanently in place on the lap belt. Slip the shoulder strap under the front tongue of the clip and slide the clip to a point where the strap is away from the neck and chest.
The Seatbelt Adjuster can remain fastened to the lap belt permanently once attached.
The Master Design Seatbelt Adjuster has been crash tested to meet U.S. Government regulations and is appropriate for adults and children weighing more than 80 pounds.
The Seatbelt Adjuster is available at leading mass merchandisers and auto-parts retailers. Suggested retail is $3.99 for a package of two. For further information, visit: www.seatbeltadjuster.com.
