
Several hundred new vehicle models are manufactured each year for distribution in the United States. But there are also a lot of fine vehicles not available in the U.S.

• Alfa Romeo Spider V6 — This vehicle features a Alfa Romeo catalytic converter. It was introduced in the 1967 movie The Graduate and stayed in the U.S. market until 1995 when it cost $46,377. It was removed from the domestic market by Fiat because of poor quality and the manufacturer's financial problems.
• Aston Martin Vanquish S — When last offered in the U.S. in 2006, it cost about $360,000. The Vanquish S is Aston Martin's fastest-ever, street-legal car with a hand-build 6.0 liter V12 engine that produces 520 hp.
• Audi S3s — It's priced at $39,700 and is the high-performance version of the A3 which is available in the U.S. The S3 has a 265 hp, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine.
• BMW 1 Series — It was introduced as a four-door hatchback 1 Series in the fall of 2004, but unfortunately not for U.S. market. Its pricetag: $30,000.
• Citroen C6 — Priced around $54,000 it's a flagship sedan and has 3.0 liter, 215 hp V6 gasoline engine or a choice of two diesels.
• Fiat 500 — Priced at $14,000 launched as the latest generation of the 500 minicar last July 4 in Europe engine choices range from 69 hp to 100 hp.
• Smart Fortwo — It's priced under $12,000. Mercedes launched Smart in Europe in the year 1998 and will be made available in the U.S. in early 2008.
• Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution — The high-performance Evo was last offered in the U.S. late in 2006 as an early 2007 model and cost about $35,000, but it's no longer available. Mitsubishi says it will revive it in early 2008. Features include: all-wheel-drive and lightweight, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine, with an aluminum cylinder block.
• Nissan Skyline — With a price at around $25,000 it's not available in the U.S.
• Peugeot 4007 — This model left the U.S. market in 1991 and, according the manufacturer's web site, will not return.
